Resveratrol Supplements Provide Many Health Benefits

Health care is the general expression used for the entire area of prevention, treatment and cure of illness and disease using the facilities of medical professionals and resources. Although The World Health Organization would like to see the expression extended to include all people whether an individual or whole populations. Working to together this way, the whole medical community would fall under the expression healthcare system. Resveratrol, like many other dietary supplements, including vitamin C, can degrade upon exposure to the elements. The expression health care has not always been used though and prior to this is it was often just referred to medicine or the health sector but this was used more by English speaking countries. Most developed and even developing countries have a system of health care for all to cater for those who cannot pay. It was the United Kingdom that pioneered the first population based healthcare system back in 1948 called The National Health Service run by each consecutive government.

A system second to this, according to The WHO is the one initiated in Italy where a compulsory system of insurance which the administration funds, but at a relatively low cost per individual, is used. Other examples are Medicare in Australia, established in the 1970s by the Labor government, and by the same name Medicare in Canada, established between almost twenty and 1984. These systems are almost opposite to the systems currently provided in American and South Africa although there are huge changes taking place in the system used by South Africa. The health care industry is considered a profession which makes use of the skills of professional healthcare workers who provide a service related to the preservation or improvement of the health of people who are injured, sick, disabled, or infirm.

Worldwide, over recent decades, there has been a huge growth in the sum of money spent on health care and it is now one of the fastest growing sectors in every developed country with an average cost of ten percent of the gross domestic product. The United States bucks this trend with, back in 2003, a health industry responsible or over 15 percent of gross domestic product but this is anticipated to rise considerably by 2016 when it will almost one fifth of The USA GDP.

This is causing problems for large numbers of Americans with 180 million currently seeking adequate health care provision and it is also their single biggest worry. The costs of healthcare in The United States have risen so much that General Motors had considered filing bankruptcy due to the increasing health care costs dragging down its auto manufacturing division. As luck would have it, negotiations between the Union and GM management made a deal to reduce some of the benefits but keep operating as usual but the were force to sell off their under performing finance arm GMAC.

In America, the prime worry of employees is their companies health care plans, even above their salaries, such is the importance placed on this increasingly costly service. Perhaps it is time health care was looked at in a different way and perhaps called health preservation with an accent on fitness and health to ease the need for a top heavy healthcare system which is becoming a global problem.
